How to start a Subscription website with the lowest amount of money possible

You just need the niche or opportunity model theme
then a customized online business plan for it
proper software or platform to set up and run it

Types of membership models

There are 3 Subscription site models that most people think about when they think about membership sites.

The first model is the free subscription site or community site. There are the forums, blogs, all the different free membership sites that you see out there. They don’t cost anything to join. Lots of different My Space communities and things like that. That would fall under the category of a free membership site. You’re a member but you’re not paying anything to be there.

Model number 2 is a single pay subscription site. Now you actually don’t see this as much as you used to. And really you don’t see it as much as you should. There are a lot of people out there who are selling ebooks who really should probably be selling single pay membership sites. Instead of selling access to a product that gets downloaded, they sell access to a membership site where people consume the information online. There’s a much higher perceived value, far less refunds, things like that. All that said, if you are selling ebooks you should consider converting those ebooks to a single pay membership site.

The third model and frankly the model that we’re going to be looking at is the subscription or continuity based membership site. Obviously the best thing about this third model is that this is what brings you the recurring revenue that I’ve been talking about so far. And this is what you need if you want a $10,000 a month site from only 500 members, you need this model number 3. You need the recurring revenue and preferably monthly revenue. But it requires the right kind of market. So, let’s look at what that right kind of market is.
