What is an information architect

What is an information architect

"Information architect" is a pretty new term that describes those of us who work figuring out how a website should be structured. I could go on and on ... but basically, we look at the world that the client is trying to put out there on the site, not to mention his/her agendas ... and then we look at the framework that the typical visitor is bringing to the experience ... and then we figure out a way to make the site responsive to both. In other words, I create a site architecture that satisfies the needs and agendas of you the client ... but is also approachable and satifies the needs of you, the visitor.

What an information architect does?

There are many different ideas as to what information architecture is and what an information architect does. I've come up with my own definition for the purposes of this article. Here goes:

"Information architecture involves the design of organization and navigation systems to help people find and manage information more successfully." Information Architecture is the process of creating as structure for a body of information or content
